James Sillery Joins Buck Consultants Compensation Practice in Chicago

NEW YORK: Feb. 26, 2009 – Buck Consultants, an ACS company and one of the world’s leading human resource and benefits consulting firms, today announced that James Sillery has joined the firm’s Compensation practice as principal. He is based in Buck’s Chicago office.

Sillery joins Buck with a diverse 30-year career in both consulting and corporate environments. Most recently, he was a principal with Mercer LLC in its Human Capital practice. Prior to that, he was managing director for Pearl Meyer & Partners. Sillery has held corporate management roles at Heller International and Harris Bancorp, among other firms.  

Sillery’s consulting expertise includes executive compensation and benefits, global remuneration, and sales force effectiveness and performance management.

“In addition to being a highly effective consultant, Jim will be a critically important resource to Buck as we continue to grow our client services and thought leadership,” said Christopher Young, managing director of Buck’s Compensation practice.

Sillery received his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management (Illinois), and his bachelor’s degree from University of Scranton. He is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, a board member of the Chicago Compensation Association, a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals, and in 2001 he received a lifetime achievement award from WorldatWork.
