Hunt will be recognized April 20 at IHRIM’s 2009 HRIMStrategies Conference & Technology Exposition in San Diego, Calif.

In his four years as an IHRIM member, Hunt helped develop educational offerings and promote networking on metrics. He served as marketing/communications chair of IHRIM’s Metrics & Workforce Analytics Affinity Group, and helped developed its Web site and newsletter. Most recently, he created the HR Metrics Group in CORE, IHRIM’s online collaboration community. Through his initiative, IHRIM members now have a forum to find answers and share information on the topic of metrics.

“Jon has been a consistent and enthusiastic supporter of the HR Metrics Group and has improved the value of IHRIM’s content sharing and network,” said Lynne Mealy, IHRIM president and CEO.

After beginning his career as a successful real estate appraiser – becoming one of the youngest mortgage banking chief appraisers in the nation – Hunt transitioned to the world of technology in the mid-1990s. He became a systems engineer and consulted for Hershey’s, IBM, a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company and other large clients.

Wanting to do work with more of a purpose, he joined Sutter Health as a technical project manager. He later was promoted to regional HRIS program manager, where he led implementations of self-service applications for Sutter’s 8,000 employees in five acute care hospitals. Today, he is a human capital management and HR technology consultant.

Since 1980, the International Association for Human Resource Information Management (IHRIM), the world’s leading HRIM clearinghouse, has been uniting a dynamic group of practitioners, vendors, consultants, students and faculty to share best practices and the latest technological trends. Through membership, educational programming, listservs, networking forums and IHRIM’s annual conference, HRIM professionals can receive valuable knowledge that will enhance both their own careers and their companies’ success.
