BOUDREAU RECEIVES IHRIMS 2009 CHAIRMAN AWARD

The International Association for Human Resource Information Management (IHRIM) named John W. Boudreau, Ph.D., as its 2009 Chairman’s Award recipient.
The International Association for Human Resource Information Management (IHRIM) named John W. Boudreau, Ph.D., as its 2009 Chairman’s Award recipient. The Chairman Award is presented to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the field of human resource information management.

“IHRIM is pleased to recognize Dr. Boudreau,” said John Greer, chairman of the IHRIM board. “His research into the links between human capital and competitive advantage has been invaluable to our industry. We are grateful for his expertise and ongoing contributions.”

Boudreau will be recognized April 20 at IHRIM’s 2009 HRIMStrategies Conference & Technology Exposition in San Diego, Calif.

As research director at the Center for Effective Organizations, and professor of management and organization at the University of South California’s Marshall School of Business, Boudreau has spent the past two decades serving as an educator, researcher, author, speaker and a strategic advisor to many organizations.

His research studies address the future of the global HR profession, HR measurement and analytics, decision-based HR, executive mobility, HR information systems and organizational staffing and development. As the author of more than 50 books and articles, Boudreau recently penned Beyond HR: The New Science of Human Capital, with Peter M. Ramstad and Investing in People, with Wayne F. Cascio.

Boudreau also serves as a strategic advisor to companies worldwide seeking to maximize their employees’ effectiveness by discovering the strategic bottom-line impact of superior people and human capital strategies.

He earned his Ph.D. in industrial relations from Purdue University in 1981, and is a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources. Additionally, Boudreau is a member of the Human Resource Planning Society’s board of directors, currently serving on its Executive Committee.
